Internet Radio is an easy hardware device which can be used by getting connected to internet through a router. One can play radio stations on internet through it and it can use different services of music on internet that is provided to the customers all over the world.
Internet Radio is a novel service that was invented in the year 1990. In the concept of Internet Radio, The web casting of audio signals is done via World Wide Web. The term ‘e Radio’ is also used for referring to Internet Radio. The term suggests that web radio works like the customary Radio and there is unremitting gush of signal that gets converted into units of audio which are uncontrollable. The stations of web radio are very much similar to terrestrial radio stations but the only difference is that web radio stations can be accessed from any part of world.
Web Casting on Internet Radio
The method of acquiring music through web radio is referred as Audio Streaming. ‘Lossy Audio Codec’s(A Format) are used for streaming the bits . There are three important components of process of audio streaming:
• Stream Repeater of Audio
• Stream Source of Audio
• Stream Playback Audio
The repeater turns the bits of audio into format of streaming, the stream source avails it on internet and the stream playback system does the retrieval of the content. Ogg Verbis(Video Compression format) can develop the source of stream.
Audio Stream can be created with the help of Real Audio (format) or Window Media Audio (format). These days many new versions of Audio Streaming format have been developed.
Internet radio has developed up to the point that it is not only restricted to audio signals but it has turned into a powerful channel of mass communication and these days political debates, social issues and talk shows have been included in the infotainment package of web radio. The basic requirement for listening to internet radio is internet connection and a laptop or a PC but these days one can have access to web radio on one’s mobile or car music systems.
Broadcasters of Internet Radio:
Broadcaster of Internet radio is software which contains encoders such as mp3PRO, MP3 and many other facilities that change according to technology which is used to prepare software. The
Fundamental role of a broadcaster is of channelizing the bits of audio to receivers in a proper manner. The modern internet broadcasters are useful in handling the requests of listeners. It functions as mechanism for interaction. It assists in improving the sound quality. It also assists in leveling the streaming that further assists in putting the advertisements in flexible manner.
Receivers of Web Radio
The receivers of web radio are those devices that remain with user or listener. The receivers receive webcasting signals and turn them into video or audio. A computer with internet connection can with turned into a receiver for web radio. The software such as RealOne, Window Media Player 11 and QuickTime can be downloaded to play, launch or search radio stations.

Presentation on Page Make Up in Print Media
“News is body, introduction is soul and heading is God soul” said Mr. Ajay Khare, City Chief, Dainik Bhaskar during seminar organized by Ink Media School of Journalism on Feb 10, 2011. He told the students about intro, heading and news width in an interesting manner. He explained to them the subject of news writing through a song, “Ye Kya Hua, Kyun Hua, Kab Hua, kasiasy hua” of famous singer Mukesh. This song contains all the important elements of news writing. He also told the students that there is great need of research in field of news writing as the readers of today want some different in news after sometime. Mr. Ajay Khare also talked about the technicalities of introduction to the students such as what should be language barrier and word limit.
He further said in his lecture that terminology of news and intro should be accurate. He also told the students that the highlights should be given in news as it helps in making the news more presentable.
While telling the students about relevance of heading, he said that heading is most concise form of news and heading should be relevant to matter of news.
He further added that reporter also works as an editor up to some extent. Mr Ajay Khare handled the queries of students after the completion of seminar. Narender Hazari,a student of institute extended a vote of thanks to guest after the completion of Seminar.

Doordarshan Director Delivered Lecture

“Documentary is the documentation of a relevant subject. When a documentary feature is converted into visual presentation, it takes the form of Documentary”, said Dr.Santosh Awasthi, Director of Doordarshan, Gwalior(M.P). While delivering his lecture in Ink Media School of Journalism, Sagar(M.P) on the subject of ‘Production in Doordarshan”, Dr.Awasthi introduced the trainee journalists to new trends of production. While discussing the technicalities of camera at large, Mr. Awasthi told the students that during the time of Rishikesh Mukharjee(Former Film Director), the trends of recording were critical but it has become easy and advanced now a days. He also discussed about different types of camera shots with students.
Mr. Awathi also gave the knowledge of different wings of Doordarshan like Programs wing, Engineering wing and Administrative wing to students during his lecture. He also told the students about ENG (Electronic news gathering) which is considered as important term in Production. While answering a question of a student, Mr. Awasthi provided guidance about scope of employment for media students in Doordarshan to students and he also told that recruitments in Doordarshan are done through SSC&UPSC also. He further told the students that live programs in Cricket and Parliament are broadcast through 30 and 8 cameras respectively with the help of trained Cameraman and Producers. Dr. Awasthi answered all the queries of students in a satisfactory manner during the lecture. In the end of the programme, vote of thanks was extended by Manish Tiwari.The Memento was given to guest by Dr. Ashish Dwivedi, Director of Ink Media School Of Journalism.

A Poetic Evening in Ink Media
A poetry recitation evening was held in premises of Ink media school of journalism, sagar and it was organized by the Ink Media in collaboration with Hindi department of Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar (M.P). Many renowned poets of national and local acclaim were invited to participate in event. Mr. Prabhat Katare, an aluminous of Ink Media School of Journalism kick-started the event by reading his composition. The famous poet and Critique, Prof. Vijay Bhadur Singh read the poem on subject ‘Truth and Wrong’.
The event of poetry recitation was chaired by Mr. Anand Tripathi, Head of Department of Hindi of Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar(M.P. Mr. Hargovind Vishwa who was Chief Guest of the poetic evening mesmerized the audiences by presenting his composition in Bundeli dialect in rhythmic way. He also read one poem that was dedicated to kargil martyr Kalicharan tiwari. Dr. Neeraj Khare from Banaras Hindi Vishavvidyalya presented his composition on the subject bujurgo ko dekh log kehte hai….(people says on seeing oldies..).Dr. Mithlesh Sharan Choubey from Sagar read a poem on the subject of Sankoch( hesitation) and arthasastra ka jyotish(astrology of economics).
The poet, dramatist and critique writer, Mr. Krishna Chandra Lal of Gorakhpur University read a ghazal. Mr. Shyam Sunder Dubey President of Muktibodh Srajan Peeth delivered poem on the topic ‘Khet ki Mitti’(soil of farm). A senior poet and Chairperson of programme, Mr. Ramesh Datt Dubey read his composition on a subject of kavi hona badi bat hai…. (It is a tough task to be poet...).Another senior poet from Sagar, Gajadhar sagar presented his poem in rhythmic way. The head of Botany department of Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar(M.P), Prof. Dinesh atri read poem on a subject of Ishwar ka ghar…(house of god) and Isliye Uske Pas Do Patakhe thai (Therefore she had two crackers..) . Mr. Narendra Akela, the editor of Dainik Bhaskar from Sagar region also delivered his composition by addressing youth. Dr.Anil Bajpayee retired Prof. of Physics from Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar also read his composition. Mr. Pramod bhatt “neelachal” also sang his composition. Manish Tiwari, Basant Sharma, Ashutosh Sharma, the students of institute read their compositions on Babri mosque demolition, Maa zid mat kar mujhe jana hai respectively. Former professor of philosophy in Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, Dr. Shatrughan Chaturvedi read poem on a subject ‘Tumhe dene ko maine chun rakhi hai dher sari kavitaye (I have selected so many poems to gift you).Nirmal Chand vimal read poem on the subject of vah pakshi hai(He is a bird). During the concluding session of the programme, the momento were presented to guests by Mr.Madan Mohan Dwivedi . The stage conduction during program was done by Mr.Alok Pandey and director of Ink media, Dr Ashish dwivedi extended a vote of thanks to all the guests.

Flag Hosting Ceremony on Republic Day
Ink Media School of Journalism celebrated Republic Day by arranging a flag hosting ceremony within its premises. Mr. Anand Tripathi, Head of department of Hindi in Hari Singh Gour University of Sagar(M.P) as a Chief Guest. Mr. Anand Tripathi initiated the Republic Day celebration by unfurling the Tricolor and this ritual was followed by singing of Nation Anthem. All the students and faculty members of Ink Media School of Journalism attended the Republic day celebration ceremony. Mr. Anand Tripathi addressed the students during the event and told them about relevance of knowledge of constitution for students of media.
Mr. Aashish Dwivedi, Director Ink Media School of Journalism and the other entire faculty members institute also addressed the students on occasion of Republic Day and enriched the knowledge of students. Some students such as Kartik Namdev, Harvender, Madhur , Romesh etc. of institute also expressed their views regarding relevance of celebration of Republic Day. Mr. Aushutosh Sharma, a student of institute sang beautiful poem on relevance of Republic Day. The students and faculty members of institute enjoyed sweets in the end of event.
